On September 25th 2015, a three-hour seminar on “Maritime Resources Management – Diversity Management” was organized by the shipping company Optimum Ship Services Ltd. at its premises in Glyfada. The issues of managing diversity in the workplace and the influence of cultural and religious identity in a corporate shipping environment and among crew members of a merchant ship were analyzed. Case studies were presented for the management of diversity, aiming at the proper operation of the ship and the increase in the efficiency of the crew.
